I have a new shiney!

My Silhouette cutter came in today.  I am in hog heaven.  My only complaint so far is that there aren't more instructions for creating new designs other than how to draw a line/circle/square.  I'm fidgeting with it a little bit at a time and seeing what works.  I'll post pictures soon, I promise.

Happy crafting!

  3. Alicia... Umm... I don't know what that is. *blushes*
The Silhouette comes with its own software. There's supposed to be some plug-ins for Corel, but hubby couldn't seem to get that working. Now that I've had time to work with it, the Silhouette software is working just fine.

However, I am really disappointed by one thing. I need a new blade already. They're supposed to last a long time, and mine was worn out in 24 hours. No, I didn't cut that much stuff, and I didn't cut anything that I shouldn't have been. I'm hoping that it's just a defective blade and that once I get a new one, it'll be happily ever after. Hubby thinks that I may have had the thickness (of the paper) settings a little too deep when I first got it, and it cut too deeply into the cutting mat, which dulled the blade. Okay. I'm giving it another chance, but if I wear out more blades, I might have to talk about sending it back and try something else.

I'm trying to be patient, but I want to play with my toy!
